CruzHacks 2024 Seeking Judges

The upcoming 10th anniversary of CruzHacks is set for January 19, 2024. This three-day event will gather over 400 participants to develop innovative solutions in areas such as global warming, health, justice, and education. It features unique prize categories for first-time beginners, AI projects, UI/UX designs, and SlugHacks, which focuses on UCSC-centric initiatives.

Look Who We Invited

This special anniversary marks the invitation of Lila Tretikov, the inaugural keynote speaker 10 years ago, to return to the main stage. Currently the Deputy CTO at Microsoft, Tretikov is recognized for her role in uniting top creators, engineers, scientists, and designers to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges and enhance human capability through technology. She has been acknowledged as one of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women by Forbes and one of the 21 Most Powerful Women in Tech by SFGate.

Calling Judges

The event is also calling for judges from Santa Cruz/Monterey County. Interested individuals from various fields such as engineering, marketing, business development, digital media, physical sciences, and healthcare are invited to participate in reviewing and scoring the final projects on Sunday afternoon, January 21. This is a significant community event that offers a chance to discover potential breakthroughs and emerging startups.
