CruzHacks 2021 - Join Now!
CruzHacks, Santa Cruz’s largest hackathon, is back! Taking place ONLINE January 15-17th, 2021.
“CruzHacks is the largest hackathon on the central coast,” explains Doug Erickson, co-founder of CruzHacks. “When we started it 8 years ago, we thought we were lucky to get 100 participants. Now - especially being online - we worry that we will see as many as 1,000 participants in 2021. And they will join from all over the world.”
A hackathon can sound pretty intimidating, but you don’t have to be a coding guru or tech genius to participate. In 2020, CruzHacks had over 500 participants attend and 47% of them were first-time hackers! Participants come from diverse ages, educational backgrounds, skill-levels, and aspirations.
The goal of weekend-long event is to bring together like-minded individuals, fueled by passion, to collaborate on creating innovative solutions to real-word problems. It’s also a window of opportunity to network and gain new skills.
