Margaret Rosas is the VP Department of Customer Love at Looker. Looker is a computer software company that was founded in 2012. Margaret helps companies use their data to drive their decisions in the right direction.
Helder Carvalheira is the VP Global Engineering Services of Poly (formerly known as Plantronics). Helder has worked at Poly for 18 years, initially as a senior program manager. He has a Bachelors in Business Management from St Mary’s College in California.
Vice Chancellor for Research
Scott Brandt is the Vice Chancellor for Research at UC Santa Cruz. Scott has been involved with UCSC for many years as a Professor of Computer Science and then as Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies.
Jacob Martinez is the Founder/Executive Director at Digital NEST. Jacob is passionate about supporting young people to become tech leaders. His company is based out of Watsonville. Jacob has a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UCSC and an MS in Instructional Science and Technology from California State University, Monterey Bay.
Toby Cory is a Stanford University Lecturer and teaches “The Spirit of Entrepreneurship”. Toby deeply believes in creating companies that focus on fighting climate change, saving the planet, and helping humanity.
Bonnie Lipscomb is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Santa Cruz. Bonnie’s work aims to make Santa Cruz a place where people want to work and live. She wants local companies to stay in Santa Cruz instead of going over the hill.
Kate Roberts brings her skills and success with regional organizations. She is currently President of the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP), a regional organization focused on connecting people and businesses in the Monterey Bay region. Over her 25 years in the high-tech industry, Ms. Roberts held leadership positions in sales, marketing, partner management, and corporate social responsibility.
Drew Meyer is a long time Amazon marketing whiz, focused currently on Alexa Skills product marketing out of the Santa Cruz Amazon office. He is instrumental in developing Santa Cruz Works marketing strategies to help us deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.
Jeremy Neuner is the Head of Space + Community at Launchpad Google. Jeremy builds strong, collaborative communities. Jeremy was the Executive Director of Santa Cruz Works in 2015. He has a BA in English from Georgetown University and an MPA from Harvard.
