What is The Santa Cruz Works Accelerator?
These are exciting times as you begin or extend your journey into entrepreneurship!
The Santa Cruz Works Accelerator is a program built to serve our Santa Cruz county tech community in collaboration with UCSC.
We serve our entrepreneurs and focus on building a vibrant startup community in Santa Cruz County. Our entrepreneurs come from all around the world, UCSC, Cabrillo, the Cal State University system, professionals that work in Santa Cruz County, Monterey County, Silicon Valley, the San Francisco tech ecosystem. We access to the world’s top talent and the most vibrant venture capital investors.
We all come to Santa Cruz County for its physical beauty, the beautiful ocean and beaches, the redwoods and hiking trails, our award winning schools and an overall great quality of life.
Our values prize balance as we integrate life and work. We try to avoid commuting the hill freeing up time to spend on our ventures, adventures, families and friends.
Santa Cruz Work’s objective is to bring our world class mentor guided 6 month program, funding (up to $100,000 per company), networks of experts and networks of resources together to help you further develop your capabilities and extend your success as a company. The outcome is to increase your odds of success and accelerate you towards significant traction with your customer base.
Rapidly growing customer traction is a key success metric. Should it be achieved, it is this demonstrated, rapidly growing customer traction that will be of greatest interest to next round (larger seed round or series A) investors as you graduate from the Santa Cruz Works Accelerator.
