Builder Night Welcomes Santa Cruz Builders on Monday Nights
Builder Night returns Monday, June 15, with a hands-on twist: instead of a speaker or talk, attendees will spend the evening building a community directory and agent dubbed the “Oracle.”
Organizer Sol Lipman said the Oracle idea originated during the Pie Fi project as a way to help community members find one another without already knowing whom to ask. “You just asked, and it pointed you to the right person,” Lipman said. The Oracle will act as both a directory and an agent that understands what people do, what they’re working on, and how they can help others — whether someone needs a go-to-market person, expertise with a specific tech stack, or help solving a particular problem.
The project will begin with a focused, finishable goal: a physical room and a working prototype the group can stand in front of by the end of the night. To move quickly, this Monday will have an extra hour added to the usual meetup and splitting participants into crews focused on infrastructure, front end, product, and marketing.
Builder Night will take place Monday, June 15 from 5–8 PM at Pleasure Pizza Downtown. No RSVP is required; attendees can simply show up. Interested participants are also invited to join the Builder Night mailing list at www.buildernight.co.
