Climatize Founders Selected As Semi-Finalists for Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards

Santa Cruz Accelerates members, Will Wiseman and Alba Forns, creators of Climatize, have been selected as semi-finalists for the Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards 2022 hosted by Global Solutions Initiative. Young Global Changers connects young researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and non-profit leaders from around the globe who are making an impact in their communities and empowers them to make an even bigger impact.
While the economy has grown tremendously in the last 40 years, inequality has risen sharply, and the evidence of climate crisis and the need for solutions is ever-present. The Global Solutions Initiative is a collaborative enterprise comprised of a network of world-renowned think tanks that tackle these concerns through proposals that better align economic and political activities with environmental sustainability and social prosperity. Climatize’s mobile app aims to democratize, decarbonize, and decentralize the energy transition by helping individuals invest in crowd-financing clean, renewable energy projects.
After completion of Summer School in Berlin and the Global Solutions Summit, the Young Global Changers join a global community of change-makers to “connect and advance the Recoupling of the economy with social prosperity and environmental sustainability.”
10 finalists will be selected for the 2022 YGC Recoupling Awards and YGC concludes with the top Young Global Changer pitching their project at the Global Solutions Summit 2022.
