Measure D: Santa Cruz Luminaries Weigh In

Philippe Kahn, Patty & Reed Hastings, Miles Reiter, and Lloyd Tabb Announce Support

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — May 18, 2022 — YES Greenway today announced the support of long-time Santa Cruz residents and entrepreneurial luminaries:

Hastings, Tabb, Kahn and Reiter are responsible for thousands of good paying jobs in Santa Cruz County and worldwide.  They are leading companies that have changed the face of business and the consumer experience.  And they have all lived in Santa Cruz County for decades, with a strong commitment to the community.

They have dreamed big to create a movie service nearly all of us use every week, important business and consumer software, and the largest berry company in the world. Equally important, they know what it takes to get things done–how a vision and resources come together to create great community benefit.  And that’s why they support YES on D.

“Greenway will grow bicycle commuting, and result in less driving, traffic, and carbon.  Please support YES on D.” Reed Hastings

“We can say “YES” to something. If the path is wide and paved, we have lots of choices. A Greenway that runs the length of the county without cars would change our lives.  It is the only safe trail.” Lloyd Tabb

"Greenway benefits our whole community–kids, parents, grandparents, canines–simply all of us. Greenway will revolutionize transportation and recreation around Santa Cruz County and provide a new safe, healthy and social environment." Philippe Kahn

“Greenway would be a terrific asset for people throughout Santa Cruz County. A no vote on Measure D would doom Watsonville and the Pajaro Valley, in particular, to another generation of suffering from truly ineffective transportation planning. Let’s get something done now that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Vote YES on D.” Miles Reiter
