Monterey Bay’s First 3D Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub for Kids Coming Soon to MAH in Partnership with 3DE Club

Santa Cruz, CA – July 30, 2025: The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH), in partnership with the 3D Entrepreneurs Club (3DE Club), is proud to announce plans for Monterey Bay’s first 3D Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub for Students—a transformative initiative designed to empower young minds with the skills to become future leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Launching January 2026 at MAH’s dynamic downtown Santa Cruz location, the Hub will become a premier destination for youth of all backgrounds to spark creativity and develop entrepreneurial mindsets through immersive experiences with innovative 3D printing and emerging technologies.

The Hub will provide students with interactive, hands-on experiences such as:

Introductory 3D Entrepreneurs Club workshop held on July 20, 2025.

  • DISCOVER - creating artifacts, jewelry, homes, and more with 3D printing

  • LEARN - to make and sell your own 3D printed toys & products from home

  • EXPLORE - a 3D store with products created and sold by young makers

The overarching goal of the Hub is to foster technological, entrepreneurial, and financial skills in students at an early age. It will inspire all youth—especially those from underserved communities—to dream bigger, and contribute meaningfully to their local economy.

"Partnering with the 3DE Club aligns with our mission to offer ambitious, innovative programming that meets community needs," said Ginger Shulick Porcella, MAH Executive Director. "Through such programs, we aim to spark creative thinking, foster critical discourse, and provide a safe space for youth to express themselves, equipping them to become empathetic, innovative adults."

“MAH’s dynamic community space allows us to reimagine what's possible for young people,” added Bobby Roy, Founder of the 3DE Club. “We’re creating a launchpad where future innovators will gain the tools, mindset, and mentorship needed to transform their ideas into impact.”
