Newsworthy.ai Launches Newscrafters

Santa Cruz-based Newsworthy.ai has introduced NewsCrafters.com, a new AI-assisted content curation platform designed to close the long-standing gap between paid press release distribution and earned media. Announced on December 3, 2025, the service gives brands, agencies, and subject-matter experts a way to turn news into ongoing, search-friendly content rather than one-off announcements.

Created by PRWeb founder and Newsworthy.ai CEO David McInnis, NewsCrafters builds on nearly three decades of online PR experience. The platform responds to a communications landscape where a majority of professionals are already experimenting with AI tools but still need credible, human-authored content that satisfies search engines and readers alike.

At the core of NewsCrafters is a “human-in-the-middle” model. The system uses AI to draft articles based on user-defined personas and tones, such as Humanistic, Analytical, or Competitive. Human curators then refine those drafts, adding expertise, commentary, and context before publishing. This workflow is designed to align with Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines by emphasizing experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness rather than fully automated output.

NewsCrafters pulls press releases and news items from more than a dozen newswires, not just Newsworthy.ai’s own feed. Users are encouraged to specialize in narrow vertical topics so their curated articles build topic authority over time. Early test content has already begun to surface prominently in search results alongside established news outlets, according to the company.

The platform launches with a tiered business model. A free plan allows one author persona and full access to the core curation tools. A $12 per month paid tier adds up to three personas and workflow features such as auto-approval for trusted curators, while also covering AI API usage. For agencies managing multiple brands and voices, an Agency Console supports multi-client operations under one umbrella.

Co-founder Mark M. Willaman frames NewsCrafters as an extension of Newsworthy.ai’s broader mission: transforming press releases into durable digital assets that drive discoverability and brand authority rather than fleeting headlines. By combining AI efficiency with human judgement, the company aims to give everyone from startup founders to nonprofit leaders a scalable way to participate in industry conversations and grow their organic presence over time.
