Save The Waves Coalition Set to Host 2025 Summit
From October 8–10, 2025, Santa Cruz will welcome ocean advocates from around the world for the Save The Waves Coalition Summit, held at the Dream Inn. This three-day event will unite ambassadors, field coordinators, partners, and allies traveling from Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Fiji, Australia, and beyond.
The Coalition Summit provides a unique platform to address the urgent challenges facing surf ecosystems in the era of climate change and political instability. Through interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and collaborative strategy-building, participants will share lessons learned from global coastal campaigns, exchange tools for stewardship, and strengthen their collective vision to safeguard vulnerable surf breaks.
A central focus of the Summit will be advancing the Coalition’s ambitious mission to protect 1,000 waves by 2030. By drawing together diverse perspectives from across the globe, the event highlights how international collaboration can spark innovative approaches to conservation.
