UC Santa Cruz to Host UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium, August 22–23
UC Santa Cruz is bringing the 26th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium to the redwoods this August 22–23, and it's shaping up to be a can't-miss gathering at the intersection of bioengineering and AI.
Top minds from across UC campuses will share the stage with industry powerhouses including Gilead, Genentech, Google Ventures, NVIDIA, and AIMBE, for two days packed with cutting-edge ideas, bold research, and fresh connections, all set against the backdrop of the Santa Cruz redwood forest.
There's still time to be part of it! Academic abstract submissions for poster and/or oral presentation, as well as startup submissions, are open through the extended deadline of August 5th. Sponsorship opportunities are also up for grabs. Spots are filling fast, so please register here to attend. Registrations close on August 7th.
Startup Program
Startups will get their moment in the spotlight: 5 fast-paced minutes to pitch their vision, followed by rapid-fire questions during the Startup Session.
There's also a Research and Startup Poster Session, running for one hour each day (August 22–23), buzzing with ideas on display. All startup posters will be placed together in one area, and all research posters together in another. Most posters will be research posters.
No poster? No problem. Showing up with just a sign and your startup's logo is a great way to network and get noticed during the poster session, and skipping exhibiting altogether is fine too. Bringing at least a logo sign is highly encouraged.
