$17 Million and Counting: How Climatize Is Making Clean Energy Investing Go Mainstream

Climatize CEO & Co-Founder Will Wiseman at their West Sacramento EV charger project.

Climatize, the clean energy investment platform, marked some pivotal milestones in May.

The platform shipped four major commercial surfaces designed to professionalize the project finance pipeline, updates include;

  • Lender ready diligence packages for project sponsors, featuring complete, bank-grade case for a project that Climatize’s AI assembles automatically, with the credit analysis, financials, and downside stress-testing already done.

  • a dedicated tax-equity investor interface, and a live interconnection cost engine running on real utility grid data.

For their customers it turns weeks of manual underwriting prep into a single shareable link, and for Climatize it means we can put deals in front of lenders faster and win the larger pools of capital needed to scale. With these tools Climatize can go from site discovery to confidently defending projects in front of banks and institutional investors.

On the capital side, Climatize is beginning to structure a $50M revolving credit facility, a vehicle intended to warehouse and recycle capital across a far greater number of deals than its current deal-by-deal model allows. They're also changing how they deploy capital. The idea is that the biggest obstacle to building more clean energy isn't a lack of willing investors, it's how slow and expensive it is to get each individual project investment-ready.

May's numbers reflect growing momentum. The platform recorded $497,176 in new investments during the month, bringing total capital deployed to $17.3 million across more than 4,300 investors. This month's investor cohort represents approximately $482,690 in projected future revenue and $7.8M in anticipated future investments.

On the project side, Climatize launched $850,000 in projects across their platform. Some of the projects that have been funded, are new, or in progress include:

Looking ahead, Climatize has set ambitious targets for the coming months: crossing $18 million in total investments, launching more than $1.5 million worth of new projects, and growing their community past 4,600 investors. If May is any indication, they're well on their way.

The numbers back up the momentum. In May alone, investors put in nearly $500,000 through the platform, pushing the all-time total past $17.3 million. More than 4,300 people are now investing through Climatize, and this month's group of new investors is projected to bring in nearly $7.8 million in future investments as more projects come online.
