Are you looking to support your business and expand your team with fresh perspectives and dedicated talent?

Santa Cruz Works is seeking employers in Santa Cruz County who are interested in having a fully paid for intern for their business in 2025-2026! The City of Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Works, and Digital NEST recently announced a collaboration to strengthen our local workforce and support talent in underserved areas of Santa Cruz County: the Santa Cruz Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Workforce Development Grant Internship Opportunity Program (IOP).

This program matches interns with local employers for a fully paid, six-month internship, giving you valuable support for your business and providing youth with vital work experience. $10,000 will be provided to local companies to compensate interns. A maximum of 10 companies can be accepted into the program. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until all spots are filled. Tech companies are strongly encouraged to apply but this opportunity is open to all employers in Santa Cruz County. Digital NEST will find candidates and conduct preliminary interviews and companies will have the opportunity to interview the final candidates and make the final selection.
