A snapshot of the problem your startup will solve to make the world a better place: Better Boxes are multi-functional organizing products that make moving and furnishing a new apartment fun, fast, and affordable. They turn into furniture and also into moving boxes. They are like a wooden milk crate in functionality and strength but are made of a lightweight material that goes together in a utility-patented construction. An eco-friendly paper-honeycomb core provides 2,000 pounds of crush test strength, while weighing only five pounds, and is covered in a layer of finely fluted, coated corrugated cardboard that is sponge washable and can be printed with any color or pattern.
The boxes stack into furniture such as nightstands, bookcases, and closet organizers. They can be customized on the inside with accessory shelves, trays, and bins that also go together to make more moving boxes. To move, you can lift the boxes by the sturdy side handles, and you can use the inner shelves to double function as lids if you want to ship the boxes in the mail.
These boxes are the ultimate organizing system for the whole house, because they are so multi-functional in design. They can be used in offices, closets, garages, craft rooms, kids rooms, kitchens, and are also attractive enough to use in the living room. They make getting and staying organized easy, because they are in just the right sizes for a large variety of things - papers, mail, receipts, files, photos, cards, and magazines – and they can be easily repurposed for other uses.
When people think “home organization” they will think “Better Boxes.” They will want to always have a supply of spare Better Boxes in the closet, ready to assemble for their needs. The boxes come flat-packed delivered to your door. They go together with no tools, glues, or hardware -just folds. Their simple assembly is very satisfying. And the convenience of doorstep delivery beats having to go to a big box store and trying to find suitable inexpensive furniture that then needs to be assembled.
