We had an extremely busy quarter. We had a big push from June through August to complete the updated S1 Dispenser. We were able to keep on budget and on time completing the first unit on August 22! After completing the dispenser we immediately shipped the unit to Switzerland. Europe continues to pull us in as anti-plastic legislation pushes retailers and brands to abandon single-use plastics.

On my last trip to Europe, I was contacted by a Swiss organization called Kickstart Innovation. Kickstart brings foreign technology companies to Switzerland to partner with Swiss companies. I ended up being offered a deal with Coop, one of Switzerland's largest retailers.

Coop operates 2,500 stores with over $30 billion in revenue. We were honored that Adrian, Coop’s CFO and other senior leadership, took time to try the dispenser and share dinner with us! After spending nearly two weeks in Zurich I brought the dispenser to Bizerba in Germany.

Bizerba has some of the world's leading experts in load cell technology; the core of the S1 Dispenser. We collaborated on design and engineering for a week before I presented the S1 Dispenser to the CEO and senior leadership of Bizerba. We had a great outcome and our partnership continues to develop. I then shipped the dispenser back to Coop in Switzerland!

We are working with multiple corporations to 'de-plastify' their corporate campuses. While in Europe, we had the chance to visit international corporate campus offices to propose what plastic-free cafeterias and micro kitchens could look like.

Timeline

We will continue to manufacture units, pilot, and refine the design of the S1 Dispenser through the end of the year. In 2023, after piloting and refinement, we will begin manufacturing to fill outstanding and new orders.

Europe Trip

For the month of September, I went back to Europe for the third time this year! This trip focused on continued customer development with retailers, brands, and strategic partnerships. Strategic partnerships are a core growth focus for us and Bizerba continues to be a key path to growth.

Product Development

In Q3 we completed the first fully functional S1 Dispenser! A lot had to come together to make this happen. Since completing our first unit for Europe we continue to build additional units for US pilots while refining the design as we prepare for factory manufacturing.

After working with Bizerba’s engineers in Germany, we returned with an updated list of hardware updates. We will be spending the next 3 months updating the valve opening mechanism in order to stabilize the weight measurement system.
