Applications for UCSC’s 2023 Cider Pilot Training program are open! Twenty students will be selected to participate in a two-quarter program to receive training on drone safety, hardware and sensors, mission planning, flight operation, data processing, remote sensing, FAA part 107 license training, and more.

UCSC CITRIS Initiative for Drone Education and Research (CIDER), which aims to support drone research and industry to develop a diverse drone workforce, recently launched the program with a cohort of 18 undergraduate students.
