Women in Venture Capital Host Evening Panel Event
The Women in Venture Capital Initiative has brought together an accomplished group of women across venture capital, entrepreneurship, healthcare innovation, and finance for a conversation about the future of technology, investing, and leadership.
At the heart of this initiative is a simple belief: when talent across businesses, educational institutions, and communities comes together, it creates greater opportunity for all. The goal is to strengthen the Monterey Bay Region's innovation ecosystem by expanding professional networks, creating pathways into venture and entrepreneurship, and empowering more women to take informed risks and make a meaningful impact.
The event will take place on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Institute for Arts and Sciences, 100 Panetta Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.
Panelists:
Alicia Hernández Arriaga, Investment Manager at Sustainable Ocean Alliance Fund
Reem Mahrat, Founder and CEO of EazeBio, author, and Stanford SPARK Advisor
Maggie Nixon, CEO of Capstan Medical
Sophie Reynolds, Senior Associate of Amboy St. Ventures
Archna Sahay, Vice President of Innovation Banking for Fifth Third Bank
Attendance is free, but space is limited. Interested attendees can register here. Those whose plans change after registering are asked to let organizers know so others have the opportunity to attend.
Following the panel, attendees will continue the conversation over drinks and appetizers, with plenty of time to connect and network.
