Workforce Training Funding Available for California Manufacturers

Article by Roadmap 4 Innovation (R4I)

Roadmap 4 Innovation (R4I) has been awarded Employment Training Panel (ETP) funding to help qualifying California manufacturers offset workforce training costs and invest in employee development.

Many California manufacturers already contribute to ETP funding through payroll taxes but never take advantage of the available resources. Through this funding opportunity, manufacturers may be able to access customized training designed to strengthen employee skills, support knowledge transfer, improve productivity, and enhance workforce retention.

Training may include topics such as:

  • Leadership & Workforce Development: Leadership, communication, project management, change management, cross-training, and knowledge transfer

  • Operational Excellence & Manufacturing Skills: Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, supply chain, quality systems, blueprint reading, welding, and more

  • Technology & Business Systems: ERP systems, Microsoft Office, CAD/SolidWorks, and digital tools

Training can be delivered onsite or virtually and customized to meet each company's specific needs.
