Zero Motorcycles Goes Fast Forward with the SR/S

Come join us for the March Santa Cruz Works Company Spotlight Breakfast at Zero Motorcycles. See the brand new SR/S in person!

Zero Motorcycles’ newly released SR/S is the Jet-inspired EV motorcycle that we didn’t know we wanted. With a full-fairing design, optimized aerodynamics and standout visual appeal, Zero made what was already good, better.

Santa Cruz Work’s got exclusive access to cover the action as Chris Metcalfe presents the new model. A leaked video of the SR/S led to an earlier release, exemplifying the overwhelming interest in Zero’s innovation.

Some would say Zero is the "Tesla” of motorcycles. Balancing industry-leading performance with sustainability and comfort, Zero is a high-speed mobility pioneer. The recent release of the SR/S in New York further cemented the Scott’s Valley based company as a leading force in a rapidly evolving electric mobility industry. When Santa Cruz Works visited Zero we were greeted by a passionate team of visionaries and technologists. Uniting hardware, software, and engineering know-how, Zero is creating the “smart-cycles” of tomorrow. Only… they are available today.

The newly release SR/S is a living testament to this spirit of innovation. While the bike’s mechanical foundation is based on the highly-acclaimed SR/F, the SR/S is an evolutionary statement of style, performance, and Zero’s maturation as an industry leader. Driven by a proven chassis with an output of 140 ft/lb of torque and 110 horsepower available at the simple twist of the throttle, the unparalleled power of electric drivetrains is undisputed. Though Zero know’s, with great power comes responsibility. As a result, Zero’s proprietary Cipher software system creates a “connected” motorcycle where you can control everything from your top speed to throttle control with your smartphone. As an added benefit, real time data analysis lets the electrified system manifest class-leading performance and efficiency from the ZF75-10 motor and 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. In contrast to the SR/F, the SR/S repackaged no only the already strong visual appeal, but the complete experience of harnessing the power of Zero. Creating a standout machine uniting design, comfort, and power, Zero goes fast-forward with the SR/S.
