Climatize Selected for Prestigious Plug and Play Sustainability Accelerator

Climatize, the Santa Cruz-based climate fintech startup that got its start in Santa Cruz Works Accelerator program, and making renewable energy investing accessible to everyone, announced its acceptance into the highly selective Plug and Play Tech Center Sustainability Accelerator. Climatize was one of just six companies chosen from a pool of more than 500 global applicants, marking a significant milestone for the rapidly growing firm.

The Plug and Play Sustainability Accelerator, renowned for connecting the world’s best startups with leading corporations for pilots and potential investment, has recognized Climatize's innovative approach to democratizing climate finance. Climatize's platform allows individuals to invest in small-scale, vetted solar and other clean energy projects with investments starting as low as $10.

Climatize co-founder expressed gratitude for the opportunity on Linkedin, reflecting on the company’s journey. "Moments like this remind me why we started Climatize in the first place. When you set out to build something from scratch, you never really know where the journey will take you," the co-founder stated. "Getting the chance to pause, reflect, and see how far our vision has come and how real the impact is becoming means a lot."

A Highly Competitive Cohort

The selection into the accelerator highlights Climatize's standing as a promising leader in the climate technology space. The company joins an elite cohort of fellow innovators, including Carba, Magnefy, FLO Materials, Darcy Solutions, and Vireo Ag. The accelerator program provides startups with access to Plug and Play’s global network, mentorship, and opportunities for strategic partnerships with corporate partners.
