Joby Aviation Establishes Hub at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport

Joby Aviation is setting up a 45,000 square foot outpost at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, inside Hillwood's Alliance Air Trade Center.
The airport itself is no stranger to firsts: Perot Field was the first industrial airport in the world designed specifically for cargo and corporate aviation. It's now the anchor of the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone, where companies, regulators and infrastructure groups collaborate on what comes next in air and ground transportation. Alliance Aviation Companies president Christopher Ash sees Joby's arrival as proof the model works. "Joby's presence at Perot Field is a significant milestone for the airport and for North Texas aviation," he said.
For Joby, the appeal is access to workforce, infrastructure and a state that's leaning into the industry. Chief Policy Officer Greg Bowles said the company plans to use the site to "demonstrate the value of air mobility services across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the state" as it begins flights under the eIPP program.
Hillwood, which developed the surrounding AllianceTexas campus, is framing the lease as evidence its model still draws next generation industries. Vice president Samuel Rhea said the company brings "an important new capability" to a campus already built around aviation and manufacturing.
The Fort Worth site will back Joby's push toward commercial air taxi service, a business the company plans to run itself in cities worldwide while also selling aircraft to other operators.
