KRML Moves to Golden State Theater

We didn’t move KRML to the Golden State Theatre because we needed a fancier office. Radio people are perfectly capable of creating chaos in modest surroundings.
We moved because we believe a local radio station should be more than a signal coming from somewhere behind a locked door.
Our new home (a 3200 sq/ft ballroom) is being designed in thirds: one-third working studios and offices; one-third a Creators' Lab where local members can produce podcasts, video, social media and other digital content; and one-third a Listeners' Lounge for intimate performances, conversations, comedy, lectures and community gatherings.
The Golden State Theatre places KRML in the heart of downtown Monterey, surrounded by the businesses, artists and people we exist to serve. It gives us room to invite the community inside and gives our advertising partners new ways to reach voters beyond a traditional thirty-second commercial.
We can now help you tell richer stories, create original content, host memorable events and build genuine relationships with our audience. Sometimes the answer will be radio. Sometimes it may be a live performance, a podcast, a video, a community conversation, or an idea none of us has thought of yet.
We are still learning what this space can become, and we would value your help shaping it.
