West Coast Community Bancorp Begins Trading on Nasdaq
Santa Cruz-based West Coast Community Bancorp, the parent company of West Coast Community Bank, has officially joined the Nasdaq Stock Market, marking a major milestone for one of the Central Coast’s largest locally based financial institutions.
The company announced on September 15 that its common stock had been approved for listing on Nasdaq following the effectiveness of its Registration Statement on Form 10 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Shares began trading on September 16, 2026, under the ticker symbol WCCB, the same symbol previously used while the company traded on the OTCQX Best Market.

West Coast Community Bancorp said the move is intended to increase the company's visibility among investors and provide access to a larger and more liquid public market. No new shares were issued as part of the Nasdaq listing, and the company did not raise additional capital through the transaction.
“Listing on Nasdaq marks an important milestone in West Coast Community Bancorp’s growth as a leading community banking franchise in California’s Central Coast and Silicon Valley,” said Krista Snelling, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Snelling said the listing is expected to help the company deepen its engagement with institutional investors and broaden its shareholder base as it continues executing its strategic plan.
For Jon Sisk, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, the significance of the move extends beyond the public markets and reflects the bank’s continued growth within the region.
“Our listing on Nasdaq is more than a milestone for West Coast Community Bancorp. It's a reflection of the strength, resilience, and growth of the communities we serve. By joining a national exchange, we broaden our access to capital, increase visibility with investors, and create additional opportunities to support local businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Santa Cruz County and the greater Central Coast.
As a community-focused bank, this achievement does not change who we are. It strengthens our ability to invest in the people, organizations, and businesses that make our region unique. We see this as a win not only for our shareholders, but for the entire community that has helped us grow and prosper.”
Sisk has nearly three decades of experience in community banking in Santa Cruz County and previously served as founder and president of Lighthouse Bank before joining the organization following its merger with Santa Cruz County Bank. He currently serves in leadership and advisory roles with several regional and national organizations, including Santa Cruz Works and the American Bankers Association.
The Nasdaq listing follows several years of expansion for the organization.
In October 2024, West Coast Community Bancorp completed its merger with 1st Capital Bancorp, combining two Central Coast banking organizations and expanding the company's presence throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey counties and into other markets across the region.
Santa Cruz County Bank subsequently changed its name to West Coast Community Bank in April 2025, reflecting the institution's growing geographic reach while maintaining its locally operated, relationship-focused banking model.
Founded in 2004, West Coast Community Bank is headquartered in Santa Cruz and today operates branches in Aptos, Capitola, King City, Monterey, Salinas, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and Watsonville. The bank provides business and personal banking services, commercial and real estate lending, agricultural lending, and SBA and USDA government-guaranteed lending.
The Bancorp has also launched an expanded Investor Relations website alongside its Nasdaq listing, providing access to SEC filings, financial results, investor presentations and stock information.
For a financial institution that began serving Santa Cruz County more than two decades ago, the Nasdaq listing represents another stage in its expansion across the Central Coast and Silicon Valley while maintaining its headquarters and longstanding presence in Santa Cruz.
