PVUSD Calls for Industry Partners

You are needed to help shape the strong workforce of tomorrow. Find a role in Career Technical Education as a PVUSD CTE Partner.

Meet with a CTE educator twice a year to advise them on curriculum, classroom technology, and workforce needs. Your knowledge will influence teaching and learning throughout the school year.

Be a guest speaker 

• Introduce students to your industry and its diverse careers. 

• Do a demonstration or teach a technical skill.

• Discuss your own educational and career journey with curious learners.

• Participate on a career panel to talk about your industry or organization.

CTE Industry Partners are especially needed in these industry sectors: 

• Entrepreneurship

• Engineering and Architecture

• Health Science and Medical Technology

• Biotechnology

Whether you are an employer, staff member, entrepreneur, business manager, community leader, or other professional, your presence and expertise as an industry partner will make a difference for students and our community.

Who can connect our students with the workforce of the future?

Career Technical Education (CTE) in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District offers career-connected, inspiring courses and learning pathways that accelerate students' preparedness as they plan for their next steps after graduation. 

By meeting with a CTE teacher to review curriculum and discuss where your industry and associated careers are trending, you'll help ensure that local Career Technical Education students are building the relevant, real-world skills they'll need for success in college, career, leadership, and life. 

CTE integrates core academic content with project-based learning and the skills and mindsets needed to adapt and succeed in a rapidly evolving workforce across industries. Choosing and exploring among PVUSD's 25 career-connected pathways helps students make informed decisions for their futures after high school as they learn and understand their choices of 4-year college, 2-year college, technical training, or directly entering the workforce after graduation.

About PVUSD’s CTE Program                                                                                           

PVUSD’s career-connected pathways give students the opportunity to connect their high school education to college, career, and future opportunities. CTE courses are designed to align with college admission requirements while providing students with opportunities to earn transferable college credit, develop industry-aligned skills, and pursue professional certifications, all while still in high school.

Across the district’s five high schools, students can choose from 25 CTE career pathways spanning a range of industries and interests. Each pathway is designed to keep multiple options open after graduation, including four- and two-year colleges and universities, transfer programs, technical and trade training, industry certification, and direct entry into the workforce.
