Reservoir Farms Welcomes AgTech Startups
The Reservoir has recently announced a new incubator for AgTech called Reservoir Farms. Based in Salinas Valley, Reservoir Farms is the world’s first robotics incubator on a working farm with the goal of providing a real world environment for for startups to tackle real-world problems when it comes to specialty crops, right in the heart of the Salinas Valley.
Reservoir farms welcome 12 early-stage companies developing technologies such as:
Robotic harvesters – strawberry, broccoli, romaine (only 1 of each)
Rugged mobility for uneven, bedded terrain (only 1)
Machine vision for crop maturity + quality (only 1)
Lightweight end effectors for delicate crops
Modular robotics components for field use
Edge AI for autonomy without cloud dependency
Precision soil + bed analytics for real-time decisions
