Santa Cruz Works Collaborates With StartEngine to Support Startups

Santa Cruz Works is excited to announce the collaboration with StartEngine as part of its mission to help businesses raise capital from their customers, friends, and adventurous investors. StartEngine aims to support the most promising companies emerging from Santa Cruz Works ecosystem and partner networks via its equity crowdfunding platform. StartEngine and Santa Cruz Works will work together to identify startups in its network that are interested in using crowdfunding to successfully secure the funds needed to scale up.

StartEngine is a Los Angeles-based company known for helping startups raise over $600M across 500 company offerings. Several local Santa Cruz County companies such as Weatherflow, Carnot Compression, and Parallel Flight Technologies have recently utilized StartEngine to successfully launch campaigns that have raised several million dollars. StartEngine has over 760,000 prospective investors in its community and is eager to connect startups with investors.

StartEngine is led by Co-Founders & CEOs Howard Marks and Ron Miller. Marks co-founded Activision, a video game publisher well known for the development of games like Call of Duty®, Guitar Hero, and Crash Bandicoot™. Miller is a successful entrepreneur who founded, built, and sold five companies and is an instructor at UCLA Anderson School of Business. StartEngine is also backed by Strategic Advisor, renowned businessman, and investor Kevin O’Leary, better known as “Mr. Wonderful,” on the television show Shark Tank.
