A New Calendar and More for Santa Cruz Works
Santa Cruz Works has completed major updates to its website, including a fully rebuilt events calendar and redesigned pages for membership, talent, jobs and member benefits.
The largest change is the new Santa Cruz Works Community Events Calendar, which gives local organizations a central place to share workshops, networking events, lectures, job fairs and other community programs.
Visitors can browse events by date, view multiple listings on the same day and open each event for details such as time, location, registration and additional information. You can also add events directly to your google calendar from the page.
Local businesses, schools, nonprofits and event organizers can now submit an event for consideration. Santa Cruz Works reviews each submission before it appears on the public calendar. If you have an upcoming event, make sure to submit it here.
A Clearer Homepage
The Santa Cruz Works homepage was also rebuilt to make the organization’s programs and services easier to understand.
Visitors can now find resources based on whether they are entrepreneurs, employers or community members. The homepage includes direct links to startup support, events, talent programs, jobs, membership and local business resources.
It also includes updated information about Santa Cruz Works programs, regional companies and the organization’s impact.
A New Talent Page
The new Talent page brings several workforce programs together in one place.
Employers can learn about internships, the local jobs board, Santa Cruz Launchpad, Santa Cruz Accelerates and connections with regional education and workforce partners.
The page also includes information about internship funding available to eligible employers, including support of up to $10,000 for paid internships through the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Internship Opportunity Program.
The redesigned Jobs page allows employers to post jobs, gigs and internships. Job seekers can also submit their information to a local talent directory without publicly displaying their contact details.
Updated Membership and Perks Pages
The Join Us page was reorganized to make membership options easier to compare.
Student, Individual, Solopreneur, SMB and Enterprise memberships are now presented with clearer pricing, benefits and registration links.
The Perks page was also updated to show the kinds of discounts and business resources available to members.
Current perks include offers from coworking spaces, software providers, restaurants, event venues and local service businesses. Members receive access to redemption information after joining.
More Website Updates
Santa Cruz Works also updated its Testimonies page, which now includes stories from founders, employers and professionals who have found jobs, customers, mentors and business connections through the organization.
Other updated sections include Startup Support, About Us, Our Team, Team Building and the Contact page.
The website will continue to be updated as new events, jobs, perks and programs become available.
